Cookies & device storage
What Nodetropy stores in your browser, why it is there, and what control you have over it.
Last updated 26 September 2026
1. Overview
This notice explains how Nodetropy uses cookies and similar storage or access technologies. These technologies can store information on, or access information from, your browser or device.
Our current approach is deliberately minimal: Nodetropy uses storage needed for core service functions and user-selected workspace behaviour, and does not currently use advertising cookies.
2. What Nodetropy currently uses
- Authentication/session storage. Supabase authentication uses browser cookies or related storage to keep you signed in, refresh your session securely and allow server-rendered pages to recognise your account. Without this, signed-in workspace functionality would not work correctly.
- Workspace version preference. When you choose a workspace version view for a project, Nodetropy stores that selection in a first-party cookie so the workspace can remember the view you asked for. The current implementation sets this preference for up to one year unless it is replaced or removed earlier.
Cookie names used by authentication infrastructure can change as the authentication provider evolves, so we describe their purpose rather than promising a permanent provider-generated cookie name.
4. Analytics and advertising
Nodetropy does not currently deploy advertising cookies or behavioural advertising trackers. The reviewed application source also does not currently include a dedicated product-analytics tracker.
If analytics, advertising, embedded third-party tools or other non-essential storage technologies are introduced, this notice will be updated and any consent or objection controls required by law will be provided before those technologies are used.
5. Your controls
You can remove or block cookies using your browser settings. Blocking authentication storage may prevent you from signing in or remaining signed in. Removing the workspace preference cookie may cause that project to return to its default version view.
If Nodetropy later adds an in-product storage-preference control, this page will explain how to use it.
6. Third-party infrastructure
Supabase provides Nodetropy’s authentication infrastructure and may set or read authentication-related storage as part of that service. Vercel hosts and delivers the application. Stripe will handle payment flows when paid billing is enabled; visiting a Stripe-hosted payment experience is also subject to Stripe’s own technologies and notices.
7. Changes to this notice
We will update this notice when our use of cookies or similar technologies materially changes. For information about personal-data processing more generally, see the Privacy notice.
